Gone By Michael Grant

"Suddenly it’s a world without adults and normal has crashed and burned. When life as you know it ends at 15, everything changes. There are no adults, no answers. What would you do?"

The Gone Series by Michael Grant is one of the best book series I have ever read. The story goes that one day in the town of Perdido Beach, California everyone over the age of fifteen disappears, without leaving a trace. Those that are left have to fight to survive. Mutant powers are developing to these children left, some very dangerous. Abilities to move things with your mind, shoot lasers from your hands and heal people with your touch.

A barrier surrounds the town and nothing will destroy it. Sam Temple and his friends Astrid and Quinn have to stand together to find out what is going on. Know one has a clue what will happen when people reach the age of 15, and if they will disappear like all the adults. Through out all the chaos happening in Perdido Beach, a darkness is brewing down below in a mineshaft. What will this darkness do and what is it capable of.

This book is the first epic book of the Gone Series by Michael Grant and leaves you wanting more. There are 5 books in the series so far, with the last thrilling book of the saga coming out next year. Gone is a book full of suspense, fantasy and action, making you want to never put it down. I really enjoyed the book and the series, and I highly recommend the book to anyone.
